Change Doesn’t Have an Age

According to nephrologist paediatricians, around 3 in 20 children below the age of 6 suffer from Chronic Kidney Disease. We feel like this percentage is high, yet CKD isn’t spoken about enough. Also, our hearts go out to the children that have to go through this at such a young age and sit for hours on end getting their kidneys cleansed and have to endure the pain that comes along with this disease.

At the heart of Jumeirah college is a team of individuals who are passionate about composting: Mia, Mariah, Danyaal and Piyah. ‘We believe that community composting is an important part of building a more resilient world.’ Now that we’re well into April, Earth Day is right around the corner!

One day, I was sitting on my couch watching the news and got shocked when the reporter hailed ‘Climate crisis is an existential crisis!’ The word existential hit me really hard that I started educating myself about climate change. I realised that Asia (the continent where I lived) lies in the MAPA (Most Affected People and Areas) region.

Recycle The World: Be the Voice of the Earth

Our goal in this project is to create awareness about recycling all types of recyclable wastes and medical wastes, increasing the recycling skills of our country, Turkey. At the same time, we are working on finding the best possible way of recycling habits to integrate into our lives. This way we were able to spread the importance of recycling for our world and continue recycling lifelong while contributing to nature.

IISHRAQ means sunrise and we believe that just like the dawn education brings light and colour in one’s life, hence we named our initiative after it . The change we want to bring is to give underprivileged children worldwide the opportunity to hone their skills and acquire new abilities through our development program.

THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION

Humanitieshearts is a global youth non-profit. The project we embarked on for the GSL is one we call the HH Syllabus. A text-based project aimed at helping orphanages in rural Africa during the pandemic. The project allows for volunteers to sign up to create worksheets and content tailored to fit rural orphanages’ needs.

The Green Game

We are the Elec-trick-ators and we are striving to develop a solution to some of the world’s greatest challenges through the Sustainable Development Goals. We aim to produce electrical energy by processing waste materials through the Hydro-wheel project.

Building a house with stones and water

One in every ten young women cannot afford sanitary pads to take care of themselves, as a result of this, many drop out of school and the others use unsanitary items, some of which include; clothes , towels, newspapers, etc.
