Trash to treasure. As participants of the GSL competition, students Danyaal Zobairi, Piyah Chopra, Mia Ghrayeb and group leader Maria Messac formed the “Zero Waste” team and initiated a delicious way to turn food waste into good taste!
For a week, we collected leftover food in our school and disposed of it in a compost bin, and after three weeks, we took it to our garden where it was used as fertilizer to nourish our crops!
We are passionate about the United Nations’ sustainable development goal of ending all forms of hunger by 2020!
